An incomparable sugar
to put Guadeloupe on the map

GARDEL is the last sugar mill in operation on mainland Guadeloupe. We are committed to uniting the players in the sugarcane industry, defending its values, its professions and the quality of life of the men and women who work there every day. We are responsible for the future of our mill, our industry and the growers who work with us. Together, we’re working to promote Guadeloupe around the world.

GARDEL, it's all our sugar.

Our secret lies in the quality of our cane: grown on Guadeloupe’s terroir, bathed in tropical sunshine and cultivated with passion by our partner growers.

Our industry has a major responsibility for our island’s economic activity. The largest agricultural sector in Guadeloupe, it represents nearly 8,000 jobs.

Our business lines

GARDEL offers a wide range of professions, from sugar cane to sugar crystallization, as well as logistics and support functions.

Our history

Since 1870

Now the last sugar factory on mainland Guadeloupe, GARDEL has reinvented itself over the years. As guardians of our heritage, we are looking to the future.
